Due Friday 9/3 by Midnight:

1. Write a letter to me! (20 pts) Tell me all about your educational history, what you like (or don't like) about English class, and anything else I need to know about you to be an effective teacher.  Email this letter to: msfostersclass@gmail.com To earn full credit, your letter must be in the BODY of the email (NO ATTACHMENTS!), include your full name and period number in your header, and be sent to the correct email address (msfostersclass@gmail.com).

2. Sign up for your class on www.turnitin.com and request to join the wiki space at www.english78.pbworks.com. (5 pts each if done correctly and on time). Turnitin.com class numbers and passwords are as follows: 1st period is class #3450289 with password: FOSTERper1; 2nd period is class #3450291 with password: FOSTERper2; 3rd period is class #3450295 with password: FOSTERper3; 4th period is class #3450296 with password: FOSTERper4. PLEASE BE SURE TO JOIN THE CORRECT CLASS!

Due at the beginning of class Fri 9/3 (for 1st and 3rd), Tues 9/7 (for 2nd and 4th):

Due Wed. Sept. 8th (Class 1,3, &4 ) or Thurs. Sept 9th (Class 2):

Annotated Bibliography (three typed bibliographic entries that relate to your Acedemic Integrity paper research.)

Due by the end of the school say on Tues. 9/21 (the day before senior picnic!):

1. Hard copy of your Academic Integrity Assignment!  Be sure to staple your annotated bibliography, a peer edited draft, and a one pragraph reflection of the process to your final copy. Don't forget to submit your final draft to www.turnitin.com!

Due before we read your section of Hamlet:

1. Your group must summarize your section (each in your own words), prepare discussion questions (three for each member), and define any suspect vocab. (I expect you to be able to define every word in your section, so be sure to look up everything you can’t automatically explain!)  All three parts are due typed when class meets to read your section. Sign-ups are posted in the classroom.

Due R4D1 (that's Friday 10/1 for 1st and 3rd, Monday 10/4 for 2nd and 4th):

Your version of Hamlet's "To be or not to be" speech. Choose something that you are actually having a hard time deciding! Your version may be handwritten or typed, and should be 25-30 lines long. If you choose to share in class (and you do a great job!) you will earn a bonus point.
